You live and you learn

After looking at some online ads regarding studying abroad opportunities, I have found a couple
websites that are helpful if one wants to carry out that exciting experience. I am going to analyse them, taking into account the convenience of getting involved in each one.

The first website is Euro Centres, specialising in language-learning courses in 6 continents! It has many professional features, offering a plethora of languages to learn. This website is fit for someone who wants to go abroad but not to necessarily continue a university degree. Other advantages, such as listing the price of the experience before-hand and guaranteeing it stays that way, is useful in order to set up an economic plan accordingly.

The next website I found, GoAbroad, takes the typical summer abroad to another level. This programme, lasting just a month, boasts an itinerary of 14 cities to choose from, in Asia and Europe. Students learn new things by taking classes while they travel. Having discovered this programme, it is hard to pass up if you have the means. Making friends, seeing new places and experiencing different cultures while improving your knowledge in a variety of ways is extremely beneficial. The only downside is the price, but it seems like a fantastic time!

Last but not least, the University of Wittenborg offers a Post-Graduace Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (Wittenborg Education). Instead of doing a Master's in your hometown, doing it in England can be an excellent experience, especially for students like myself, who are enrrolled in English Studies. Apart from looking exquisite in your CV, students taking part in it will acquire a different perspective on education, since English education is not exactly the same as Spanish. Out of all the options I have found, this one is the one I would lean towards the most.

To improve my English, I went to the cinema once again last week, this time to see the film Colette, in English of course. One of my favourite actresses, Keira Knightley, plays the leading role, and although the film did not get outstanding reviews, I thought it was marvelous and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It seems that portraying female writers in films has been quite popular in the past year, since it is the second film that I have seen that has this theme in this term alone. I would really recommend it, it was brilliant!

Sadly, I did not speak to my friend this week because we have fallen out. Nevertheless, I will find somebody else to practice my speaking skills with. In fact, my classmate Aarón showed me an event held by an English academy every Saturday that consists in speaking practice over tea and biscuits. Interesting!
